Eminem's back...but does the world still need him?

Divorce and drug problems plus five years out of the limelight, Eminem is about to release two albums. Can anyone, yet alone Marshall Bruce Mathers, come back from being the world's biggest-selling rapper after five years, which is a very long time in hip-hop, but the leak of a new track from Eminem has set the industry and the internet buzzing.

What happened? Was it his marriage, divorce and remarriage and divorce to Kimberly Scott. Then again it could’ve been the pressures of close family, the dispute with his mother. The murder of a close friend. I suppose the story will unfold, but hey, Eminem is back with two monster albums.

Thirty-six year old Eminem's musical skills are alive and kicking. Go back to 2003 when Eminem became the first rapper to win an Oscar - "Lose Yourself," from the movie 8 Mile. OK, it might prove a tough hill to climb but look at the skill of the man……awesome.

We all know the history of Eminem, so what’s next. It’s said that the new album could be entitled Relapse, due for release in May. Don’t be surprised if there’s Relapse 2 later this year. I suppose it won’t take much to improve on his last album. A lot of the competition is waning, some have passed on to pastures new and even to the next life! But Eminem is a star and has proved it. He was one of the biggest stars in hip-hop and there’s no reason why it can’t happen again.

Eminem still has a great and loyal following and this will be the platform of his success. Some people are saying that it’s 2009 and hip-hop has been the graveyard of certain performers. Don’t worry, this is not going to be the demise of Eminem. A true star and performer will always rise to the occasion. So for all you hip-hop fans, old and new look out for what’s coming.

Strange isn’t it……first we had Eminem, a white superstar in hip-hop and now we have a black president, Barack Obama!
